|Joseph C. Haggerty, 75, of Blue Bell, formerly of Skippack, passed away at Bryn Mawr Hospital on January 11, 2013, surrounded by family and friends. He and his wife, Kathleen M. (Horn) Haggerty, observed their 50th wedding anniversary just last year.
Born October 7, 1937 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John J. and Agnes C. (Wagner) Haggerty, graduated from North Catholic High School, and served in the U. S. Navy.
Joe spent most of his life working in the auto industry, mainly in sales and service, and was never happier then when discussing cars or spending time with others in the business. Joe was employed by Knopf Motors in Ambler for over thirty five years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Arlene (Timothy) Lawn of Flourtown, and Joseph Haggerty, Jr. of Pennsburg; two sisters, Patricia (Robert) Edney of Somers Point, NJ, and Colette Haggerty of Philadelphia; and five grandchildren, Joshua, Daniel, Jake, Maureen, and Jade and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Morris.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 11AM on Friday, January 18, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, where family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM.
